contains in depth information on meta tags and website registration/promotion in general.
Our main goal when creating TagMaster for Windows
was to create an easy to use method for effectively creating and updating MetaTags for web designers and webmasters. Whether you are an experienced webmaster looking to automate an otherwise tedious task, or a brand new webmaster without the time or inclination to learn Meta Tag methodology, we have your solution for creating powerful Meta Tags.
TagMaster
is as easy as 1-2-3. Follow the steps and you will be ready to upload your new pages in no time. From the main screen, simply select the drive, directory, and .htm or .html file you wish to modify. As soon as TagMaster detects your choice, it will instantly scan your file and display the Meta Tags it has found.
To edit or add to your existing Meta Tags, simply make the appropriate choices in each individual box and click on 'Save Changes' at the bottom. TagMaster
will then correctly modify your source code to reflect the proper Meta Tags you have chosen.
Note: A common misconception about Meta Tags and search engine operation is the subject of line feeds and carriage returns. Because search engines read your .htm files one line at a time, they will not properly recognize multiline descriptions and keywords. To this end, Tagmaster
will properly format all of your tags on a single line. However, it cannot always detect existing malformed meta tags, especially if they contain line feeds or carriage returns, which may result in portions of your old, malformed meta tags being left within your file. To correct this, simply delete these errant lines from your source code using your web or text editor.
If you wish to modify a complete website, using the same Meta Tags for each page, simply open the first file and
complete your additions / modifications. Once complete, select 'Save Changes', and then 'Set Default'.
Next, click on the next file in your list you wish to modify. Click on 'Apply Default' - you will notice your default information now appears. Select 'Save As', and the operation is complete. Simply repeat this process for each file in your website !
What could be easier? TagMaster
gives you the power to create simple yet extremely effective Meta Tags for all of your pages.
